Trained in illustration
Before the first machine ever touched skin, John spent years drawing — sketchbooks filled with anatomy studies, ink wash portraits, and original character work. That foundation is the difference between a tattoo that's been applied and one that's been designed. Every piece at Bewitched starts on paper.
25+ years on the needle
Since 1999, John has tattooed thousands of clients across Sussex County, from first-timers in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach to seasoned collectors flying in for full sleeves. The work spans black & grey realism, neo-traditional, fine line, and bold color — but the through-line is craft.
A design-first philosophy
You won't find flash sheets on the wall. Every tattoo at Bewitched is custom — drafted, refined, and approved before the appointment. That's how you get a piece that fits your body, your story, and ages beautifully for decades.
